As i am above 70 years of age , which are the good Nutrition & Protein food advisable.

Dear Sir, Adequate nutrition and a well balanced diet is of vital importance as you age, so as to prevent and control the common hazards of ageing. A well balanced diet would be a combination of fibre, iron and calcium; with optimum sugar and salt and less fats. Your medical condition i.e. prevalence of diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol and other chronic conditions will also influence your diet. Few foods that are recommended for you are: – sprouted grams and leafy green vegetables – milk and milk products (buttermilk, cheese, paneer) – ragi – fruits as a part of your breakfast or evening snack – nuts like almonds, raisins and dates (to be avoided if you have cardiac problems and/or cholesterol) – if you are a non vegetarian, you can have eggs for breakfast and fish and meat (or meat soup) as part of your other meals. Do make sure to keep yourself hydrated with regular intake of water and/or tender coconut. Frequent meals (once in 2 or 2.5 hours) of small portions of quality food is advised.
